Online Casinos - Where Do US Players Turn?

Well, 2008 was not a vintage year for online casino fans in the USA it must be said! With some politicians keen to tie up votes ahead of Novembers election, and the casino industry being hit by the credit crunch, I guess it was inevitable that change was gonna come. Unfortunately, it wasn’t positive change, but change that left American players wallowing in a mire of uncertainty and black market operators.
The majority of the safe online casinos that were still US facing at the start of the year subsequently decided that the risk was too great, or were “told” that they thought that, and pulled the plug on new registrations from the US. This paved the way for a number of shady operators to regain the foothold they had several years ago before the industry set about cleaning up it’s act. The upshot is, that the US left it’s residents between a rock and a hard place.
So where do residents from those States where online casinos are still legal go now without getting burned? Well thankfully a handful of decent casinos stuck it out - casinos that don’t promise the world, can and do payout properly, although the changes have slowed the payment process down in some cases and a certain degree of anonymity is required!
In all frankness, there are only 3 online casinos I feel I can recommend to US players right now. I’m researching others and I’m sure I’ll find a couple more, but there are so many bad operators to get through, I’d advise extreme caution to USA residents.
