Reviews and information regarding tools, software or online resources that will hopefully prove useful to both players and casino affiliates alike. If you know any that deserve mentioning - including tolls for online poker players - then please get in touch and I’ll take a look for worthiness ;)
A new website that allows slots players to search for their favourite online slots games has launched. The Slot Seek service (slotseek.com) has over 500 online slot games indexed in it’s database and is growing by the week.
Online versions of slot games from traditional slot machine maufacturers such as IGT, Barcrest, Novomatic and WMS Gaming sit alongside online-only games from the top casino game software providers including Microgaming, Playtech, Realtime Gaming and Wagerworks.
A visitor to the Slot Seek website can either enter all or part of the name of a slot game into the search engine or navigate to a complete list of slot games in the database. The Slot Seek service then returns a list of online sites that have the game required to play for fun or for real money.
In addition, the Slot Seek service provides alternative suggestions for online slots when an exact match slot game isn’t found and also provides links to videos from Youtube to games that appear in search results where a video exists.
If you are an online poker player always on the lookout for freerolls, then you may be interested in the new Freeroll Poker Tournaments website. The site contains a daily schedule of freeroll poker tournaments (unsurprisingly!) from several of the primary online poker rooms and is updated every day, 4 times a day. The list of freerolls contains links to the poker room, details of each poker tournament along with start time and prizes on offer.
Check it out at www.freerollpokertournaments.net
In addition, the website contains links to Poker Tournament RSS feeds (at the bottom of the page) which any webmaster of blogger can use on their website to show the daily tournament lists.
Here’s a number of gambling news feeds in RSS format that may (or may not!) be useful to webmasters who manage content related to all forms of gambling whether it be poker, casino, sports or bingo related. I’ve divided these into two clear sections: News and Poker Tournament feeds. The beauty of these feeds are that they run through a centralised Yahoo Pipes gambling feeds account which means you can apply additional filters.
News Feeds (RSS)
These feeds bring together all the industry news and are divided into several categories with one “catch-all” feed:
Casino news - covers online and offline casino gambling
Poker News - also includes all the news from the WSOP and WPT.
Land-Based (USA) Gambling News
Poker Tournament Feeds
These are daily online poker tournament schedules covering a number of the top online poker rooms:
Texas Hold’Em Daily Tournament Schedule - filtered content for Texas Hold’em only
Poker Tournament Qualifiers - Online poker tournaments for WSOP / WPT (etc) online qualifying
There are a few more poker tournament feeds available in the same location as those RSS feeds above.
For players or affiliates looking for background information on online casinos that can’t always be gleaned from simply reading the casino website, a unique new web application has been launched that makes life a little easier.
The A-Z of Online Casinos contains a wealth of information on some 150 of the most popular, safe online casinos revealing information such as ownership info, cashout times, licensing jurisdiction and more. The emphasis is on cashouts with players able to compare cashout times, reverse times and see which online casinos offer the ability to request a manual flush and have cashouts processed at weekends. It also provides some extra emphasis on online casinos that take US players.
Most experienced online gamblers will be familiar with Neteller, the eWallet that is accepted at just about every sportsbook, casino or poker room going. Excluding US residents of course. Well anyway, they just launched an affiliate program which may be of interest - Neteller Affiliate Program - with a bounty for every new account holder on their first succesful transaction. Frankly, it’s not a great bounty at £20 a throw, but at least it’s something.
I’ve used Neteller for years and apart from the odd frustration, it’s served me well. It’s generally the quickest way to get money in and out of the merchants and can be treated like an offshre bank account to a degree. They are based in the Isle Of Man
affCAFF is a free system for webmasters that allows them to plug in bonuses, promotions and news from over 200 (at last count) online casinos, poker rooms, bingo sites and sportsbooks. It works by putting a line of Javascript or PHP, depending on which you prefer, into any page on your website and then it updates the bonus or promotion in real-time as soon as it is updated.
It also has an RSS feed integration tool too so that feeds from the casinos, poker rooms etc can be integrated into webmaster sites without any knowledge of RSS required.
In all the above cases, it lets the webmaster wrap the line of code that provides the feed in their own affiliate links too. Very neat and very easy to use. Visit affCAFF…
During the course of the last few years, I’ve come across some useful bits of software and tools that can help both players and casino affiliates. Actually, I’ve also found some prety crap ones too, but I won’t be listing those here. Many of these are free, one or two are shareware, and the odd one is a commercial application, although being a skinflint I’ve not often bought any, so there won’t be many here.
So here’s the most useful ones I’ve found so far:
Poker Freeroll Tournament Feed
A number of different RSS feeds in fact, the most popular one being the freeroll feed. They get updated every day with all the online poker tournaments from all the major poker rooms and are a great way to keep up with all the main tourneys, including WSOP and WPT qualifiers among others. Also a very useful resource for webmasters and bloggers to put them on their websites.
affCAFF Real-time Webmaster Feeds
affCAFF is a free system for casino affiliate peeps that integrates the latest bonuses and promotions from a large number of online casinosand poker rooms with a website. Also allows the webmaster to include their own afiliate links and updates the info every hour or so.
This is an excellent shareware tool that helps video poker players work out the best hands. The free version works pretty well, but an upgrade is also worth the money IMO.
