Grand Prive Switch Software Providers. But Why?

Those of you who participate in online casino forums, be it as a player or an affiliate, will know that the once respectable Grand Prive (GP) group have hardly covered themselves in glory in recent times. Affiliates in particular were up in arms when the GP group ditched their affiliate program, sacked the staff, terminated all contracts and then kept all the players they had been sent.

That lead to all sorts of detrimental stuff appearing in the forums and affiliates whose contracts had been thrown in the bin started putting up rogue pages on Grand Prive properties. The fallout became widely visible in Google. The really odd thing was that Microgaming, Grand Prive’s software provider just stood by and watched which surprised many. Long story short, over a year later GP invited independent casino watchdog eCOGRA in to audit the affiliate database and offered to make restitution. From the conclusion to that investigation it was pretty obvious eCOGRA had not been given access to all the data and the debate rumbles on as to what to do next.

But now, a twist! An eagle-eyed poster on Casinomeister spotted that the Microgaming logos had disappeared from the Grand Prive sites, and that the software players were downloading was from a hitherto unheard of provider called BetOnSoft. It would seem that GP had ditched Microgaming but as was soon to be discovered, Microgaming weren’t aware!

It’s intriguing and it’s still unravelling but you can follow the action at http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/online-casinos/37137-grand-prive-betonsoft.html
